I initially met Alexander Penalta several years ago while taking aviation law classes at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Penalta was the adjunct associate professor for those classes. I was quickly impressed by his knowledge and experience. In addition, it didn’t take long to realize how passionate he was about the subject and that he really cared about what he taught. At that time I realized that I had found an attorney and a firm that I could count on and trust if I ever needed one. Recently, I needed some legal advice on a matter that wasn’t even in a state that Penalta represented. Still, I didn’t hesitate to contact him. I found him just as accessible and professional as I had remembered. Even though he couldn’t give me actual legal advice, he answered some general questions for me and even offered to make some phone calls for me and put me in touch with an attorney in the state I needed help in. A few years ago I found myself in an extra ordinary situation when a pedestrian kicked my child in the stomach. I know what you are thinking….he just kicked your child? Not exactly. Our dogs are not just part of the family, they are just as close to our hearts as any other family member. When my dog went to sniff another dog that dog became upset and instead of walking away the owner kicked Captain in the stomach. I as any other parent would do confronted the man and pushed him away. The man then called the police stating who he was in the community and then tried to press charges of battery against me. Mr. Penalta did not stand for it one bit!! He fought until the charges were dropped and will never forget it. I am a military veteran and a great person; the last thing I need is a blemish on my record.
